He died one week after finding out that his wife, Brittany Harris, was pregnant.

Now, Harris' band of brothers are Christian's band of protectors.

While she was pregnant, Brittany received the support of the men and women of the 82 Airborne Division who were deployed with her husband.

Christian was born March 17, 2018, weighing six pounds and five ounces.

"Just knowing that we could come home to a baby girl that was awesome," U.S. Army Sgt. Nathan Arthur Bagley said. "When everyone came home that was the day she was born, so that made it ten times better."

Brittany coordinated the photo shoot with Pinehurst Photography to show her daughter just how much her father's comrades loved her from day one.

"They've been a part of her life before she was even born, and I know they're going to be around for the rest of her life," Brittany said. "No matter where the Army takes them all, I will be able to show Christian how they all came together for her."

In the photos, Christian wore her father's dog tags, along with a onesie that read "My daddy's my hero" and "SPC Chris Harris" underneath.

"Chris, we got your baby girl!" said one of the soldiers during the photo shoot.

Chris and Brittany married in Asheville, North Carolina, on October 15, 2016.
