A 93-year-old widowed war veteran gets some much needed repairs to his Hyde Park home of 40 years.

World War Two veteran Frank Sause is getting help through 'Rebuilding Together Dutchess County.'

Volunteers from the group are making safety modifications, from installing handrails, to repairing stairs, to putting grab bars in the bathroom.

It's all part of a major project they're doing in the county, by helping people in need with home repairs this weekend.

"Serving 5 homeowners today throughout the county with over 100 volunteers and the market value of the work that we're investing back in our community is over 100-thousand dollars,” said Executive Director of Rebuilding Together Dutchess County Christina Boryk.

"But it's absolutely astounding how they can do all they do,” said Sause. “Do all they all they do at one time, and they do it right."

Nationally, "Rebuilding Together" connects almost 100,000 volunteers for around 10,000 rebuild projects a year.
