A Warwick resident said a daily visit to his local Kwik Mart has finally paid off big.

Christopher McManus played the 'Week for Life' instant scratch-off ticket last month, and hit the big jackpot of $2,500 a week for life or a $2.5 million lump-sum payment.

He opted for the lump sum and will take home a little more than $1.3 million after taxes. He says he's still in shock, and plans to help fix his mom's house, get a new truck, invest and buy a new boat with his brother.

"It's still hard to comprehend," said McManus, 58. "I've never had this much money in my bank account before, and I doubt too many people have."

According to a New York Lottery release, he's the 40th player to win more than $1 million in 2018.
