Newburgh's city manager speaks on his recent visit with Mayor Judy Kennedy in hospice.
Kennedy has been battling ovarian cancer.
Friday, Ciaravino lauded Kennedy's passion for the city. She was elected to office as a Democrat in 2011, and re-elected after running independently in 2015.
Ciaravino says as of their most recent time together, the mayor was still scheduling meetings.
"Whether it was coming to council meetings with her oxygen tank or contributing privately in a number of behind the scenes matters,” said Ciaravino. “As last I learned, she has still not let go of her responsibilities and her determination to make the city of Newburgh a thriving community."
Ciaravino also commented on the recent illness of Assemblyman Frank Skartados. He called the Assemblyman's achievement's remarkable.
