Sullivan County government employees want a raise, and they were at the county building today to rally for more money. Many at the rally tell Spectrum News they work hard for the county, and they don't feel they're getting the compensation they deserve.

"We have employees that are on food stamps. So our big stuggle is to increase the pay for the employees. We're looking for at least $1,500 a year increase in pay," said Teamsters 445 Representative Jerry Ebert.

County Manager Josh Potosek says negotiations are ongoing, but wages and health care are the main areas of contention.

"Negotiations are tough, money is tight. And things such as health insurance and wages are always at the top of the bargaining table at both sides of the union and management, so that's kind of where the sticking parts are on those two items," Potosek said.

Ralliers plan to continue once a month until they get what they want.
