State police in Wappinger continue to investigate a 33-year-old cold case.

It was the death of an unidentified male, and they are asking for the public to help.

Troopers say the man's body was found on April 2, 1985 in a wooded area off of Route 301 in the town of Philipstown.

They say the remains indicate that he was a white male, possibly between the ages of 27 to 35 years old.

He is also thought to have been 5 feet 10 inches tall, and had brown hair.

Dental records and DNA have not yet led to the man’s identity.
