Despite all the snow on the ground outside, it's starting to look a lot like spring at Macy's.

The annual flower show kicks off this weekend.

This year's theme is "Once Upon a Springtime."

Displays put a floral twist on classic fairytales.

More than a million flowers were used in the arrangements.

"This is about a year in the making, and we bring about 100 people together to make all of this happen in one setting. This would not happen in nature. All these plants from around the globe happening in one setting, and actually blooming at once is art and science at once," said Rick Pomer, the show's creative director.

The flower show is free and open to the public starting Sunday.

It will run for two weeks.
