While many people are out enjoying this St. Patrick's Day weekend, police across the state and in Ulster County are setting up DWI checkpoints to make sure everyone on the road is being safe.
Ulster County police agencies will participate in a special enforcement effort to crackdown on impaired driving. The statewide STOP-DWI Crackdown efforts start Friday and will end on March 18.
Leaders say checkpoints like these help encourage people to find designated drivers.
