Purpose was the key word at Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro's state of the county address Wednesday.

Speaking in Hyde Park, Molinaro gave updates on a range of programs aimed at helping the community. That includes a new website for ThinkDifferently, a program on inclusion for people with special needs.

It also includes a focus on Dutchess County's response to the opioid crisis. Molinaro talked about growing the use of recovery coaches and medication assisted treatment, as well as lessening the stigma.

"Each of us can act by helping someone you know find treatment; reaching out to a family who lost a loved one to provide support; getting trained on how to use Narcan; or inspiring and teaching others with the story of your own recovery," Molinaro said.
