WALLKILL, N.Y. — Residents across the Hudson Valley woke up to snow Sunday morning, causing them to start that clean-up process so familiar this time of year.

They shoveled sidewalks and driveways, pushed snowblowers and brushed the white stuff off their cars.

Though major roadways were clear by morning, winter left a chore for those in the area.

By now, people are used to the snow, and are taking the winter ritual in stride.

"You don't have a choice," said town of Wallkill resident Jorah St-Hilare. "It comes from Mother Nature."
