The woman who pleaded guilty in the death of her fiance while kayaking in the Hudson River will be out of prison this week.

The state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision says Angelika Graswald will be released Thursday. She pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide after admitting to removing the plug on the kayak, causing 46-year-old Vincent Viafore's death. Graswald was initially charged with second degree murder and manslaughter in connection with the April 2015 incident.

A DOCCS spokesman says the conditional release was scheduled, and Graswald will be under post-release supervision in Dutchess County.
