AUSTIN, Texas — The owners of the Columbus Crew Soccer Club are showing off their plans for Austin.

Columbus Crew owners have threatened to leave Ohio if they don't get a new stadium there.

Their Austin proposal would be on city-owned park land at Butler Shores, north west of Barton Springs Road and South Lamar.

A stadium in that part of town would not have much parking, but team representatives say it shouldn't be a problem.

"They can enjoy the restaurants and entertainment districts downtown, walk, bike, take rideshare or Cap Metro over to the site, and come back downtown, enjoy themselves and go home," Richard Suttle, attorney for Precourt Sports Ventures said.

Next week, Austin leaders will consider what sites the city has to offer the MLS team.

The team would lease the property from the city, and use private money to build the stadium.
