Light snow is expected in the New York City this weekend and it could be enough to lightly coat the city.

The forecast is for snow to arrive in the city by mid-morning Saturday and continue into the evening. As of now it is unclear if any rain will mix with the snow but with temperatures above freezing, it's possible.

When the snow ends only about an inch or less of snow is expected to accumulate.

The high temperature for Saturday is forecast at 37 degrees, with a low of 31.

Passing flurries are also in the forecast for Sunday or Tuesday, but no accumulation is expected at this time.
