A Goshen woman is facing 10 felony counts of aggravated cruelty to animals in connection to the death of 9 horses, and the mistreatment of an additional horse from July of this year.

Jeanne Ryan, 51, was indicted on multiple felony charges after an Orange County grand jury handed up an indictment from the investigation into the death of the horses.

Investigators from the Hudson Valley Society for the prevention of cruelty to animals and Goshen Police Department searched a barn at Argus Farm in July and discovered severely decomposed remains of five of the horses.

The 22 count indictment issued by the grand jury includes additional horses, which died at Ryan's barn from March 2016 to July 2017, and the case has now been transferred to the Orange County Court.
