KERHONKSON, N.Y. -- Ulster County Executive Mike Hein announced a program Sunday that he said will help bring more film productions to the county.

Hein stopped by BCDF Pictures, a production company in Kerhonkson, to announce the Ulster County Film Finance Program. The county has teamed up with four local banks to provide an initial $8 million investment for 2018 for the program.

The banks include the Bank of Greene County, Catskill Hudson Bank, Ulster Savings Bank and Wallkill Valley Federal Savings & Loan.

Hein said he hopes the film finance program will eventually lead to more long term productions like television shows in the county.
