Following the Las Vegas shooting, emergency medical professionals in the Hudson Valley are evaluating their own resources and protocols.

MidHudson Regional Hospital is affiliated with Westchester Medical Center, but doctors at the Level 2 trauma center say while the probability of receiving a large number of patients due to a tragedy is low, it is prepared if necessary.

If an emergency situation resulted in an extreme number of patients arriving at MidHudson Regional, the hospital says it would be given access to Westchester's resources to respond accordingly.
