NEWBURGH, N.Y. -- If you are looking for a place to help rev up your creativity, Atlas Studios in Newburgh may be just where you want to go.

The owners purchased an industrial building, which had a number of uses since the 1920s, in 2012. It was all to house their design and manufacturing company Atlas Industries. They began operations out of there the next year and started renting it out to other creative people. Atlas Co-Owner Joseph Fratesi said the 40 tenants in the building bring great energy.

In this edition of our Summer Arts series, Candace Dunkley introduces us to one of those tenants, Gerb-O-Matic Founder Steve Gerberich. He has been bringing objects to life for decades, but decided to bring that magic to Newburgh two years ago.
