A SUNY-New Paltz student has shown off her 3-D printing skills with a printed rendering of the Ulster County Office Building.

Olivia Privitera presented her rendering to County Executive Mike Hein. Privitera is a design intern at Hudson Valley Advanced Manufacturing Center at SUNY-New Paltz.

The presentation highlighted the educational opportunities the college's 3-D initiative offers.

"We designed this program at the very start at the interface of art and technology," said SUNY-New Paltz President Don Christian, "and it's really fulfilled that promise [and] brought out some new ways to collaborate across those broad disciplines that maybe would not have happened without the 3-D printing capabilities."

The rendering will be on permanent display in the lobby of the Ulster County Office Building.
