Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney has won re-election to his Congressional seat in New York's 18th district.

Maloney faced Orange County Legislator and former state trooper James O’Donnell. In a statement, he said he was honored to serve the Hudson Valley.

Ulster County Sheriff
Incumbent Paul Van Blarcum has been ousted by Democrat Juan Figueroa.
Figueroa, a former Marine and state trooper, says he puts value in excitement among Democrats and the fact that he's an outsider as reasons for his win.
Van Blarcum made waves in his own party while seeking his fourth term, criticizing the NFL and players who kneel during the national anthem and breaking from party lines in his support of President Donald Trump.
Figueroa will now serve a four-year term starting in January.
Newburgh Mayor
Current Newburgh Mayor Torrance Harvey will serve a full term, winning his race against Independent Gay Lee.

Harvey was selected by Kennedy and appointed by the council after Mayor Judy Kennedy died earlier this year from cancer.

He secured about 3,500 votes, while Lee secured almost 500 votes.
