Three of the contributors to a massive drug ring in Newburgh have been sentenced to prison time.
Lamont Williams, Sr., Mark Robinson and Steven Reed were all arrested after an investigation called 'Operation Family Ties' that netted 35 people in March for conspiring to sell cocaine and heroin.
The suspects were mostly relatives from two families selling drugs in the Newburgh and Port Jervis area.
Williams, who was said to be one of the drug ring leaders, was sentenced to 9 to 20 years in state prison. Robinson was sentenced to 4 1/2 to 13 1/2 years and Reed was sentenced to 2 to 6 years in prison.
A number of others arrested in the bust already pleaded guilty and have been sentenced.
