POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Four people are facing charges after a 36-year-old man was shot in Poughkeepsie Wednesday night.

Poughkeepsie City Police say reports of the shooting on Academy Street came in around 7:30 p.m.

Officers later saw people they say may be linked to the shooting run into a Montgomery Street apartment. They searched it, allegedly finding a handgun and heroin.

Police say Odell Manning, Nemai Riviere, Quran Seignious and Charles Erskine are all charged with criminal possession of a weapon and of a controlled substance.

Police say the victim was shot more than once and was hospitalized, but his injuries are non-life threatening.

Police are searching for a fifth person as well.
