GREECE, N.Y. — A Greece woman accused of using a barbell to kill her former boyfriend appeared in court Friday.
Cynthia Whitaker, 41, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 69-year-old Michael Taylor.
On Friday, attorneys questioned law enforcement officials about their conversations with Whitaker at the police station.
They also fielded questions about scene video taken with body cameras.
Court paperwork says Whitaker threw the weight at Taylor, hitting him in the head.
He was found dead at his Old Edgemere Drive home by a family member August 8.
Investigators say the two were in a dating relationship over the past few years.
Whitaker was originally charged with manslaughter.
Those charges were later upgraded to murder by a Monroe County Grand Jury.
