KINGSTON, N.Y. -- An Ulster Park man has been accused of murdering a 49-year-old Kingston man whose body was found Wednesday morning.

Seth Lyons, 20, was arraigned Wednesday night. He has been charged with second degree murder. He was back in court Thursday, where his attorney pleaded not guilty on his behalf.

Police say Lyons killed 49-year-old Anthony Garro Jr. by hitting him with numerous objects. Garro's body was found underneath the Elmendorf Street Bridge on Wednesday morning.

Thursday, Lyons' attorney requested that he be tested to see if he was mentally competent to stand trial.

Lyons' next court date is December 4. He has another court appearance on December 11, when doctors will submit results to the judge as to whether or not Lyons is mentally competent to stand trial.
