New York is just days away from the September 13th primary elections.

Citizens Union is encouraging voters to head to the polls, as state primaries typically garner low turnout, and the change of date for this year's elections could result in an even lower than usual participation rate.

Despite the proximity of the primary, the good government organization this morning rescinded its support of State Senate candidate, political newcomer and self-declared Democratic Socialist Julia Salazar, who is challenging a Bronx incumbent, Senator Martin Dilan.
