President Trump's latest pair of pardons is being called a political move by critics, and a dangerous precedent by one upstate congressional candidate.

Oregon ranchers Dwight and Steve Hammond were convicted of arson for setting fire to federal land- a verdict that lead to a standoff between their supporters and federal agents.

A key issue was whether the government owns too much land in the west.

But volunteer firefighter Steve Greenfield says the decision ignores how dangerous their actions were.

Greenfield is running for the 19-th congressional district on the green party line.
