The state Department of Labor is continuing its review of the tipped worker minimum wage, with a series of public hearings starting this week. Under current state regulations, workers who get tips like restaurant servers or car wash employees can be paid less than the minimum wage as long as their tips make up the difference. Joining us to explain more are Camille Rivera from the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union, and Catherine Barnett, the New York director of ROC United.
