The Empire State Pride Agenda was a statewide political advocacy organization created in the 90s for LGBT rights. The group disbanded in 2015 after getting same-sex marriage and the governor signed an executive order protecting transgender people. So now, LGBTQ groups from around New York are working to fill the gaps left by the Pride Agenda. Advocates held a two-day meeting in Albany to get a sense of what each region needs. Joining us to talk more about this are Tandra LaGrone, executive director of the group In Our Own Voices in Albany, and Glennda Testone, executive director of the LGBT Community Center in New York City.
