Thanksgiving is considered the beginning of the holiday season for most people, and that means we tend to think more about donating to those who are less fortunate. While people should give back to their communities, The New York State Labor-Religion Coalition is working on long-term solutions to poverty--solutions that go beyond a simple donation to a local food bank. They've created the Truth Commission on Poverty in New York State.
