Last month, Facebook disclosed to federal investigators that it sold at least 100 thousand dollars worth of advertising to a company that was connected to the Russian government ahead of the 2016 presidential election. Those ads were seen by millions of people. State lawmakers say the same thing is happening at a more local level, where fake groups are targeting voters with attack ads on the site.  That's why a group of state senators have proposed a bill that would require any political ad on social media to clearly state who paid for it. Senator Todd Kaminsky is leading this fight.
