Republican leadership in Washington is anxious to get started on tax reform. One of the proposals would eliminate state and local tax deductions. And that would have a big impact here in New York, which has very high taxes. So, the associations representing the state's schools and local governments sent a letter to the New York delegation, asking them to oppose the GOP plan.
