ORLANDO, Fla. — Mostly dry conditions have prevailed during the evening hours, but rain chances will actually increase overnight.

Some Atlantic showers will likely move inland through the overnight and early morning hours. The best chance for activity will likely be in Brevard Co., with overnight lows in the mid-70s.

We’ll close the weekend with better rain chances on Sunday. More moisture will work into the area, along with an easterly breeze that will move coastal rainfall into inland areas. The activity will likely get going as early as mid-morning, with cooler highs in the low 90s.

Some slightly drier air is expected to start the work week. Showers and storms will again develop both Monday and Tuesday, but coverage will likely be lower than on Sunday. Highs both days will be in the low 90s.

Even more dry air will march in for middle part of next week. This will reduce rain coverage even further, with some areas staying dry. Highs for Wednesday and Thursday will hold in the low 90s.

The lower rain chances will likely continue to close next week, with highs holding in the low 90s.

Tropical Update

Tropical Storm Kirk formed Saturday morning near the coast of Africa. Kirk will quickly move across the open waters of the Atlantic, and will likely a tropical storm. The system could impact the Lesser Antilles late next week.

Tropical Depression Eleven continues to slowly churn east of the Lesser Antilles. The weak system is battling wind shear and will likely become a remnant low Sunday or early next week.

Elsewhere, a large complex in the open waters of the Atlantic continues to organize. This complex has a high chance of development and could become a sub-tropical or tropical system later this weekend or early next week.

Finally, we continue to track a system east of Bermuda. The area will likely move westward and could graze the Carolinas late next week. This complex now has a medium chance for development.
