The Sabres have played from behind for much of the season, giving players plenty of practice for their first comeback win Saturday. They think beating the Bruins in Boston can be the game that breaks their slump.

I think we were playing good the whole time. It was just a matter of keeping pucks out of our net. That PK goal was a tough one. We dug ourselves a hole, but we dug out of it. It showed a lot for our team," said forward Benoit Pouliot.

"You look at the bounces that we're getting. We just have to stick with it. We're down 2-0, we stuck with it. We broke through in the third, but I thought we were playing the right way the whole game," said head coach Phil Housley.

Jason Pominville admits that the win was unexpected, but he hopes his teammates get a confidence boost after that game.

"Hopefully tomorrow it'll snowball effect to guys having confidence and playing better in our system. Finding a way to win," said Pominville.

"I think it's playing the right way and getting prepared to play. Those are the areas we have to keep focusing on and preach. It's hard to win in this league, you have to get yourself geared up and get ready at the start of the game, play a full 60 minutes and stop chasing games," said Housley.

Sabres have yet to win back-to-back games this season — they have a pretty good chance Tuesday night against a Red Wings team that has lost four straight.
