UTICA, N.Y. -- It's going to be a mixture of familiar faces and newcomers in Utica's Common Council.

Incumbent Mark Williamson, Frank DiBrango and Michele Mandia won council-at-large positions, beating out incumbent Jack LoMedico.

A new Third Ward representative, Robert DeSanctis, defeated incumbent John Jacon.

The two candidates who were very vocal about opposing the proposed downtown hospital, James Zecca who ran for council-at-large, and Lou Poccia, who ran for the First Ward position, did not win seats.

The majority of current Common Councilors favor a downtown hospital.
