The victim in a fatal shooting on Monday night has been identified.

According to police, officers responded to the 2000 block of South Salina Street around 7:44 p.m. Monday for a shooting report.

 

 

When they arrived, officers located two adults — one man and one woman — suffering gunshot wounds.

Both were transported to Upstate University Hospital by ambulance.

34-year-old Juanita Schley of Syracuse was later pronounced dead. The man is listed in fair condition.

The investigation is still very active and ongoing.
