Nearly 50 musicians performed at the One Song for Peace rally, held at the Palace Theater. Artists say they hope their songs, some written just for the concert, encourage people to think before picking up a gun.

"It's totally do-able we can get there. We can create peace. Locally, regionally, nationally we can make it happen and that's what we're hoping to inspire." said Babette Puzey, a musician.

Non-profit organizations were also there to share community resources for people dealing with violence.

Organizers say they're planning another concert rally for the spring.
