Health officials say there's been a spike in hepatitis-A cases in Onondaga County.

Five cases have been reported since November. The county commissioner says most of the cases stem from drug use, and unprotected sexual activities.

They are asking people who may have been exposed to someone with hepatitis to get vaccinated.

People most at risk are those who have had sexual contact with someone carrying the illness, used recreational drugs, or household members or caregivers of someone with hepatitis-A.
