Rochester General Hospital is amping up security measures in its emergency department.

The move comes after a man was shot in the hospital's parking lot last month.

A spokesperson says the hospital will be installing metal detectors at the entrance of the waiting area. Additional security officers will also be in place throughout the entire hospital.

The hospital could not confirm when these changes would be implemented.
