Mentors and mentees are getting into the holiday spirit together.

It's all part of Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Onondaga County.

They hosted their annual holiday party on Sunday for the kids in the program.

Kids were able to bond with their big brother or big sister — creating ornaments and dancing to holiday music.

It's also a way to say thank you to their mentors for what they do year-round.

Organizers say they end up getting just as much from the program as the kids do.

"When I first registered and I first applied I wasn't sure how this was going to go, I was a little nervous. But after being in the program for three months, for a year now, I have so much fun with this. It's so fulfilling to me," said John Bruzdzinski, director of Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Onondaga County.

Every kid left with a present donated by the Syracuse Police Department.
