Officials at Cornell University are looking for who is behind a recent spree of swastikas showing up on campus.

Three swastikas like one seen outside the commons area have appeared on North Campus over the past 10 days. According to the Cornell Daily Sun, the other two incidents happened in two local halls.

Both University and Cornell Police are investigating.

In a statement, Cornell University Vice President for Student and Campus Life Ryan Lombardi said, "I vehemently denounce such acts, which are clearly intended to intimidate members of our community. The swastika has historically been – and continues to be – used as a symbol of intolerance, terror and repression against vulnerable communities."
