It's less than a week away from one of the biggest shopping days of the year, but some are urging you to remember your local businesses during post-Thanksgiving shopping.

Organizers of the ninth annual Buy Local Bash want people to see what area shops have available this holiday season. About 500 people likely attended the event. And with approximately 100 vendors, they were accepting last-minute businesses through Friday.

For business owners, it's a chance to attract new shoppers.

"We're out in Cazenovia. A lot of people in Syracuse don't always get out to Cazenovia. This gives people a chance to come out taste our product, sample things and then come out to Cazenovia and try our winery," said Owera Vineyards Head of Sales Doug Schmidt.

This was the first time the event was held at the CNY Regional Market.
