A new place of learning and empowerment has come to Syracuse as the Spanish Action League opened a learning lab Thursday.

Members have helped the community for many years dealing with language barriers.

The lab is equipped with new computers available for anyone to use, and it will include resume building workshops where employers will come to the site and meet with job seekers.

"It's just something that's really gonna make a difference for so many people. We're gonna be able to offer more workshops, we're gonna have capacity to help people who maybe are home bound with disabilities," said Spanish Action League Executive Director Elisa Morales.

"Today in today's world in order to to be competitive out there in the corporate world you gotta be Linkedin. So here they're going to be able to do that. This whole system here is all set up with computers to be able to work through that," said Acadia's Upstate New York Region Vice President Eugenio Russi.

Spectrum is one of the companies that helped fund this lab. Spectrum is the parent company of Spectrum News.
