In his first town hall since becoming Onondaga County executive, Ryan McMahon talked about his priorities in office - to improve infrastructure and reduce poverty.

He says the community is inspired to work together and he wants to build off that momentum. McMahon hopes to implement concrete plans for economic development in Onondaga County’s poorest communities.

His administration also hopes to modernize the county's infrastructure.

"Infrastructure can impact us when there's a sewer backup in our basement, when there's issues with water, boiling advisories, certain communities, or when the companies can't expand here or come here because the pipes don't work," said McMahon.

McMahon was at the opening of a new DOT facility Tuesday in Camillus. It will serve the Western side of Onondaga County. He says it will be especially helpful now that we're starting to see snow.
