The CNY Veterans Parade and Expo took place Saturday, celebrating its 11th year.
The parade featured service members of all generations and marching bands going around Chevy Court on the Fairgrounds.
A veteran expo also took place inside, honoring the American Legion's 100th anniversary with a special exhibit.
Assemblyman William Magnarelli says the event has had so much success through the years because it's a way for the community to thank servicemen and women who have fought and continue to fight for us.
"Just kind of keeping up with the veterans community, I think they enjoy that. But I also think our community likes coming out once a year at least, and saying, ‘Thank you to our veterans for what you have done for us and helping to keep this country free,’" said Bill Magnarelli, assemblyman for District 129.
Magnarelli first started the parade over a decade ago.
