One week after the CNY SPCA seized 100 cats, the owner of the animals is facing charges.

The cats were removed from the home of Roberta "Bobbi" Graziadei.

Graziadei was arrested and charged with Animal Cruelty for harboring the animals in unhealthy and unsanitary conditions.

The SPCA says she was having trouble caring for all of those pets, but she now claims they were taken against her will.

The arrest comes on the same day the SPCA re-opened its doors.

They had been closed to deal with all of the new Maine Coons and Rag Dolls, and they have been focused on making sure they are healthy.

"We are currently in the process of vetting all the animals," said CNY SPCA Fundraising and Special Services Coordinator CJ Kulesa. "We are currently in the process of getting everyone vaccinated. Everyone is currently microchipped, we are doing intake on all of them. So, while I may not be able to speak much on the case, the animals themselves are now safe."

The shelter says many people have wanted to take the cats home, but they will not be opening up adoptions until at least next week.

They've already received hundreds of applications.
