One of the teens who pleaded guilty to setting a fire at a Samaritan storage facility in Watertown was sentenced.

John Long will spend 2 and a third to 7 years in state prison.

Long and his accomplice Scott Munson were charged with Arson and Reckless Endangerment. The massive fire in February ripped through a building on Newell Street, injuring Firefighter Theodore Kolb.

He wasn’t in the courtroom, but he did write a letter describing his injuries and asking the judge to hold Long accountable.

"It's absolutely terrible,” said Watertown Defense Attorney John Hallett. “The district attorney and I have spoken all through the case about the condition of the firefighter. That was always at forefront of our mind and the disposition for that matter. And reading the letter really brought home what he's going through."

Long will serve his term at the Clinton Correctional facility.

He was also ordered to pay nearly $500,000 in restitution.
