An 18-year-old man is now charged in a deadly stabbing in Syracuse.

Investigators say Keenan Davis stabbed and killed 19-year-old Christopher Hickey early Sunday morning along North State Street.

Detectives say Hickey was stabbed in the torso after a dispute.

Chief Frank Fowler says they were able to make a quick arrest unlike other recent homicides. He says people coming forward were the key.

"If we get witness cooperation, our detectives and our police officers are very talented," said Fowler. "We can do a lot with a little. It's just a matter of getting folks to come forward.”

The family of Christopher Hickey is also thanking the community for helping police tonight. They also said they are praying for the suspect and his family.

Detectives are still looking for more information in the case. If you any information, call Syracuse police at 315-442-5222.
