Police had the Burger King on South Madison Street in Rome taped off Tuesday night, as they investigated a shooting nearby.
Detectives say a man was shot in the chest, but is expected to survive.
The victim was rushed to the hospital around 8:30 p.m.
No arrests have been made at this time.
