AUBURN, N.Y. — The city of Auburn wants all kids to be able to play.

Casey Park is an all-inclusive and handicap accessible playground that is available for anyone to use.

But the town wanted to make it even more inviting, so they installed the Liberty Swing.

It's a swing designed just for children or adults in wheelchairs.

City officials say it's important to show families with disabled children that they deserve to have fun just like everyone else.

"It’s a very unique piece of equipment and we've seen a couple families use it with their children and it is absolutely amazing,” said Renee Jensen, a senior planner in Auburn. “The smiles on their faces and the true feeling of swinging that they’re having.”

There are only 20 Liberty Swings in the country.
