UTICA, N.Y. — Three people face charges in connection with a report of shots fired in Utica.

All three were arrested during an investigation into the incident on Gold Street.

Officers were called to the 100 block of the street around 11 p.m. Sunday.

During their investigation, they came across surveillance video showing two groups of people exchanging gunfire.

Some were seen running to a home along the street.

Police executed a search warrant and detained 12 people.

They found three loaded handguns and ammunition.

Three now face weapon possession charges.

Chane Davis, 24, Xavier Holliman, 19, and Irnes Nadarevic, 22, were all arrested.

Police say additional charges are possible.

Meanwhile, they're still investigating a shooting from earlier Sunday night that sent one person to the hospital.

Officers were called to the 1500 block of Oneida Street just before 9 p.m.

They arrived to find a man with a gunshot wound.

He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police later learned he was shot in the area of James and Kemble Streets — less than a mile from the Gold Street incident.

Police are still investigating to determine if the two incidents are related.
