COHOES, N.Y. -- Six people are displaced after an early morning fire in Cohoes.

Cohoes Fire Chief Joseph Fahd said the fire started around 6 a.m. Monday.

Several departments were called to the scene.

Fortunately, everyone managed to escape.

"Five people got out on the second floor, a mother, father, three kids and one on the first floor. We're not sure where it started, and it remains under investigation," Fahd said.

No word just yet how this fire started. But Fahd says he believes the origin was actually outside of the house.
